Flashlight Timer is a torch utility: it turns your phone's flashlight off automatically after a timer you set. This page explains, plainly, what the app does and doesn't do with your information.
Flashlight Timer does not require or ask you to create an account, and does not collect your name, email address, or any other information that directly identifies you.
The only settings the app stores are:
Remembers your chosen timer length between app launches.
Whether the app should react to the torch being turned on outside the app (e.g. Quick Settings).
Neither value ever leaves your device, is never transmitted to us, and we have no server that receives it — the app has no backend of its own.
The app requests the following Android permissions, each used strictly for its stated purpose:
CAMERASome device manufacturers gate flashlight control behind this permission even though no photo or video is captured. The app never opens a camera capture session, never records, and never accesses image or video data.
FOREGROUND_SERVICE / FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USEKeeps the auto-off timer and torch-watching running reliably while the app is in the background.
POST_NOTIFICATIONSShows the ongoing "time remaining" notification with a Turn Off action while a timer is active.
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETEDRestarts flashlight-watching after your device reboots, only if you've enabled that feature. Does not restore or read any timer that was running before the reboot.
INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATEUsed exclusively by the advertising SDKs described below — the app's own flashlight and timer logic makes no network calls at all.
Flashlight Timer is free to use and supported by ads, served through Google AdMob together with its mediated networks. These partners may collect and process technical identifiers (such as an advertising ID, coarse device information, and general app-usage signals) to serve and measure ads, in accordance with their own privacy policies.
The app shows four ad formats: a banner on the home screen, a native ad on the Settings screen, an occasional interstitial when opening the duration picker, and an app-open ad on cold start. None of these formats can read your timer settings or anything else the app itself stores.
Where required by your region's law (including the EEA, UK, and Switzerland), the app shows a consent prompt — built on Google's User Messaging Platform — before loading any personalized ads, and honors your choice.
You can review or change your ad preferences at any time from Settings → Ad preferences inside the app, which reopens the same consent form. You can also reset or limit ad personalization at the device level through your Android system settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads on most versions of Android).
Your timer duration and watch-external-flashlight preference stay on your device for as long as the app is installed, and are deleted automatically if you uninstall the app or clear its data. We do not retain copies of this information anywhere, because we never receive it in the first place. We have no visibility into, and do not separately retain, whatever data our advertising partners collect — their own retention practices are governed by the policies linked above.
Flashlight Timer is not directed at children and is not knowingly used to collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us using the details below and we will address it.
Because your settings never leave your device, there is no server-side database of user data for this app to protect or that could be breached. The small amount of local data is subject to your device's own operating-system security (screen lock, storage encryption, etc.).
If this policy changes, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Since the app has no account system, we cannot notify you directly — please check back periodically, especially before granting a new permission the app may request in a future update.
